Item Description:
A simply lovely example of this date, with colorful toning on both sides. The glittering appearance seems alien to a coin from the Dahlonega Mint, yet here it is. Add a low mintage of 2,935 pieces and you have a very special coin.

Most 1853-D Gold Dollars appear in circulated condition. Mint State pieces are rare and anything in Uncirculated condition becomes especially rare.
